Course Overview

Learn the fundamentals of the Scrum framework from the perspective of the developers* on the Scrum team.

Our Certified Scrum Developer® course (new for 2021) is a 2 day immersive training course covering the fundamentals of the Scrum framework and is suitable for anyone looking to gain an understanding of Scrum from the developers*perspective.

Our Certified Scrum Developer® course has some hands-on coding exercises in the later lessons as we begin to explore agile engineering practices and eXtreme Programming. While these are completed in pairs where possible, a basic knowledge of programming is required to get the most from these exercises.

*Developers - "Developers are the people in the Scrum Team that are committed to creating any aspect of a usable Increment each Sprint." Scrum Guide 2020. In Scrum terms, a developer may specialise in any number of disciplines including coding, testing, designing etc - they are all developers. This is a much broader definition of the term than is traditionally used.

COVID-19

On Tuesday 10th March 2020, Scrum Alliance announced it would allow the remote delivery of CSD training for a limited time. While Scrum Alliance permit remote delivery, Radtac is planning to to facilitate many of our scheduled training via our Live-Online virtual classroom. We are continually reviewing this decision based on advice from the local authorities in the region of delivery to ensure the safety of our clients. team and partners. Audience

Our Certified Scrum Developer® course is suitable for anyone looking to gain an understanding of Scrum from the developers* perspective. While primarily aimed at the product development roles such as developers, testers/QA & designers this course is also suitable for those roles that work or interact with the Scrum team on a regular basis, such as researchers, architects, business analysts and managers.

Technical requirements

All technical exercises use a cloud based development environment. Delegates will require a modern and up-to-date browser such as Chrome.

For live-online delivery, delegates must use a laptop or desktop computer. Tablet and mobile devices are not supported. It is also recommended that delegates access to the internet from their computer is un-restricted to avoid conflicts with the cloud-based environments.

Pre-requisites

Our Certified Scrum Developer® course has some hands-on coding exercises in the later lessons as we begin to explore agile engineering practices and eXtreme Programming. While these are completed in pairs where possible, a basic knowledge of programming is required to get the most from these exercises.

Course Preparation

This course does not require any pre-course preparation.

Certifying Bodies & Exams

As-of May 2021, there is no longer an exam required for this course.

Upon successful completion and full participation* of the 2 days training, delegates will be issued the Certified Scrum Developer® certification.

*Full participation/attendance on both days is required by the Scrum Alliance to be eligible for certification. For live-online courses, delegates are required to switch on their cameras throughout the course.

Scrum Education Units (SEUs)

Attendees may be eligible to apply for 14 SEUs towards their CSP (Certified Scrum Professional) with the Scrum Alliance.

Attendees may be eligible to apply for 14 PDUs towards their continuing education requirements with PMI
