Course Overview

Minimise risk with continuous customer insights and by applying fast feedback loops. This workshop will introduce you to a range of lo-fidelity physical and digital prototyping techniques enabling you to test ideas, test assumptions and continuously improve your product/ service proposition at every stage of development.

This is an Informal but immersive one-day learning experience

Course Content

Topics include:

  • Introduction to the key stages of the Design Thinking Cycle
  • What is a prototype? (models and techniques)
  • Scenario based challenge, ideation/ design
  • Low fidelity prototyping (Visual Thinking Skills/ Storyboarding techniques)
  • Interactive prototype (creating a fully interactive digital app)

Learning Objectives

At the end of this workshop you will be able to:

  • Gain a greater understanding into the key stages of the Design Thinking cycle
  • Gain visual skills to enhance ideation and collaborative exploration
  • Gain practical understanding and experience of a range of low-fidelity prototyping techniques
  • Understand the difference between difference between low and high fidelity prototyping (e.g. exploratory and validation) and where/ when to use them in a project.
  • Hands on experience of applying digital tools to help create interactive prototypes
